Belarus may close for repair the «Druzhba» oil pipeline, which supplies oil from Russia. The Vice-Premier of Belarus, Igor Petrishenko, appealed to the president Lukashenko with such a proposal. According to him, the pipeline needed repairs a year and a half ago.

Now, in view of the approaches connected with ecology, elements of the green economy, we see that there are things that we cannot implement and provide technical maintenance of this pipeline without specific sections to either restrict or block it — BelTa agency quotes Petrishenko.

According to RBC, this statement was made immediately after Russia had restricted supplies of apples and pears from Belarus. The ban will take effect from April 12, «until the settlement of the situation».

Such a decision is connected with the import of products into the Russian Federation without relevant documents.

Earlier, News.ru reported that Lukashenko declared the connection of some actions of partners from Russia on closing the market for the country with sanctions.

The Kremlin does not agree with the statements of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who said that Russia is «twisting arms» of his country — the spokesman of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, responded.
