The military drills using the Chinese FD-2000 air defence missile systems were successfully held at the Kulkuduk military training ground in the Navoi region of Uzbekistan.

The exercises were meant to show whether the units were prepared for combat launches of anti-aircraft guided missiles on the air targets, reports Interfax news agency citing the Uzbek Defence Ministry's press service.

According to the ministry's information, the anti-aircraft units located the air targets at a considerable distance and destroyed them. Unmanned aerial vehicles were used as targets imitating the enemy's aircraft.

FD-2000 Chinese long-range anti-aircraft missile system is designed to destroy airplanes, helicopters and cruise missiles at all heights of their combat use.
