Putin arrives in Dagestan

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin arrived in Dagestan. The leader will visit the village of Botlikh. It is planned that the head of the state will lay flowers at the Memorial to the local fighters of the Botlikh region who died in the Great Patriotic War, in the Afghan war, military operations in August-September 1999 and other armed conflicts.

Vladimir Putin will have the meeting with the village residents and the local militias, reports TASS news agency. In August 2019, the Russian president granted the status of war veterans to the Dagestanis who fought with the terrorists in 1999. The list of the fighters was made by the Makhachkala mayor Salman Dadaev.
