Brazil expects Russian President Vladimir Putin to attend BRICS Summit, which will be held in November 2019. The main topics to be discussed at the summit are science, technology and innovation.
Russian President's presence at the summit has already been confirmed, said the country's ambassador to Russia, Tovar da Silva Nunes. He added that Russia and Brasil are building closer ties and the summit priorities will contribute to developing a stronger partnership, reported RIA Novosti news agency.
In turn, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is going to attend next year's BRICS summit which will be held in Moscow.
A high-level intergovernmental commission headed by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is also expected to visit Brazil. The exact date of the visit is not known yet, but the visit is planned for this year added Tovar da Silva Nunes.
